Curing Your Addictions
Fitness is a big deal. Nutrition is a big deal. Lifestyle is a big deal. A bigger deal is addiction. We have people going to doctors to get B12 shots, because they are low on energy and are not performing optimally in life, but they are unwilling to make lifestyle changes and want a quick fix. This is about addictions and why the quick fix will keep you FAT, BROKEN (physically and financially), and how prioritizing your lifestyle will change it all.
We all have addiction to things we know, love, and care about. Whether we admit it or not is totally up to us. Some are below. Some have more positive value than others while others are downright destructive. The choice is ours to do what we will for what reasons we will. It is up to YOU to make that decision.
1. Good or bad food
2. Alcohol
3. Sex
4. Money
5. Social interaction
6. Fitness
7. Pride
Whatever addictions we have we need to weight the options of each and if it adds or subtracts value from us. So for this post to have the effect it should, it will stay short and sweet. There is ONE you should think about in deep thought. Personally some people look at my passion for health and fitness as an addiction. I would rather be addicted to the high performance lifestyle than go to the support group that meets every night at (insert bar name here) and gets drunk to talk about the drama of work and life. Prioritizing your life will change everything. Looking for a “quick fix” will destroy everything.
What is your main addiction and is it breathing life into you or sucking life from you?
