5 Commitment Levels
Are there really 5 levels of commitment? Probably not! Sounded cool though. There are 5 things that can set you up for massive success in committing to a goal, purpose, business, or life of unmatched living. They are below.
1.Be all in. Have so much passion for what you are fighting for that YOU are the most dedicated no matter what others say. When people see that you are going places with or without them it gives a sense of urgency. They either lead, follow, or get out of the way.
2.Say no to some things now so you can say yes to everything later. Everyone always wants a quick fix. A “quick fix” is a lie. It will never provide anything other than temporary satisfaction to a long-term PROBLEM. Putting the work in now and doing what it takes can provide you with so much more out of life. As Gary Vaynerchuk says in his book “Crush It” do 3 things.
A. Love your family
B. Work superhard
C.Live your passion.
Today I heard Eric Worre say something similar, go through 30 days of pain to set yourself up for a lifetime of freedom. In order to become more with any part of life we must sacrifice to make it happen. If we don’t we are only teasing ourselves.
3. Find your deeper purpose. As I built my business for 3 years I was leading myself thinking my business and outcomes in life were for ME. It was all about ME. ME ME ME. People can sense neediness like sharks smell blood in water. Once I found my deeper purpose the neediness died and it has become so much easier to live life and work. I can’t tell you what your purpose is, but know it is VERY specific to you and your experiences. Until you find that purpose you may very well be leading yourself blindly. I know I was. Now that the curtain has been lifted I can see everything so much more clearly now and so can you.
4. Be grateful for your successes and failures. There are many entitle people in life. That is because mommy and daddy spoiled them and made life easy for them. Remove mommy and daddy from the pictures and let them get hit in the face repeatedly by life and see what happens. Life is not about being easy and comfortable. While we all would like that, it is not realistic. I NEVER recommend realism in life, but if one is pampered and never has struggle their potential diminishes TREMENDOUSLY. The one thing that can change it all is to realize we are here for a reason and we need to be grateful for it. There are many out there who have a worse situation than us. We can either complain and be negative or we can rise above our problems and do something great with our lives for those around us.
5. NEVER forget where you came from. This is simple. Don’t forget and never allow someone else to determine your future. If your past is something you are not proud of, make every effort you can to change your future. We are all in control of our destiny ONLY IF we choose to be. Otherwise someone else will run our lives.
